Cooking Classroom for Beginners
Learning the Basics of Japanese Cooking
Do you usually prepare Japanese style dishes at home?
Do you know how to prepare “dashi” (stock soup), the basic component of Japanese cuisine?
In this course, first of all you will learn how to prepare“dashi”and then, using that, you will prepare various Japanese home-style dishes.
We hope that you will be able to participate both days.
1 st session
Teriyaki fish with grated daikon radish
Boiled hijiki ( seaweed) dish
Miso-soup ( daikon radish)

Rice cooked with minced chicken
Tamago-yaki ( rolled fried egg)

Venue: Academy Meidai, 7F classroom 2-9-5 Kasuga, Bunkyo-ku (On Kasuga St., 6 minutes on foot from Myogadani Station)
Eligibility: Persons residing in, working in or attending school in Bunkyo-ku (preference given to
foreigners and persons capable of attending both sessions)
Capacity: 20 (participants will be decided in a drawing if applicants exceed this number)
Fee: \3,000 (for both sessions)
